I just finished lunch, and was watching Oprah. Her guest was Dr. Oz, and they were talking about health (of course). In their conversation, Dr. Oz said that it was small changes made daily that added up to results.
This is so true for all areas of our life, and not just physical health! It also applies to emotional health, mental health, and spiritual health.
It also is true when applying the Law of Attraction to your life!
You do not need to meditate for hours. You do not need to visualize for hours.
No matter which tool you pick to support you with making changes in your life, it’s small incremental changes that make the difference.
This is exactly how the JOY Journal works! It’s small, incremental changes in your thinking process. It’s small, incremental shifts in your perception. It’s small, incremental shifts in your focus.
JOY Journaling only takes 5 minutes per days. That’s it!
5 minutes per day x 365 days = 1865 minutes of purposeful focus per year.

For those of you who have played with me for a while (remember…I don’t work, I either Play or Plurk) you know I JOY Journal.
For those of who you have not played with me for very long, my JOY Journal is something I use every day, for 5 minutes each day.
I guess you can call it my “life shaping” tool, because honestly, it truly has helped me to consciously shape my life!
I notice a difference when I don’t do it as compared to when I do!
If you to here, http://joy-journal.com, you’re going to read about what happened to me 4 years ago that forced me to quit “trying” the Law of Attraction, and start “being” the Law of Attraction.
Yeah, I said Being. Law of Attraction isn’t something you do or do not, it’s something you be.
When you BE the Law of Attraction, you shape your life. When you TRY Law of Attraction you have nice little things happen every once in a while, and then you are disappointed an perhaps even devastated when the big things don’t happen.
My big thing was saving our home, and keeping our lives from being swallowed up whole. We had a young son. There was no other option but survival!

After that situation turned around, one year later I began playing in my Journal with leaving my J.O.B. and working 100% for myself. I went part-time in 3 months, and full-time me in 6 1/2 months.
I learned that I didn’t have to be in a crisis to use my Journal! Yeah!
I wasn’t a Crisis LOA Be-er! I was a Living LOA Be-er!
(No, I’m not saying Beer. I can’t drink that stuff! LOL)
The JOY Journal will take you from being a LOA Try-er to a LOA Be-er!

It’s the last week of October, and while we’ve had some snow, the ground is wonderfully brown. Autumn is certainly the season of change, and though I’m not a winter girl, I do enjoy the crisp freshness of the autumn air.
I’ve set some goals to plurk with over the cooler months. I’m a member of Toastmasters. I have been for two years. I had only completed 3 of my 10 manual speeches during that first two years. I can list many reasons why I didn’t achieve more during those two years. They were busy time. In truth, the only reason I never achieved more is because I never decided to achieve more. I was not setting a stronger goal, just in case I didn’t achieve it. I knew it was going to be busy.
With all the changes that have been afoot in my life I’ve been able to make some wonderfully powerful observations about myself. One of them was that the minute I make a decision, the rest falls into place. I’ve made the decision to achieve Competent Communicator BEFORE June 2009. I completed my 4th speech last week. I have 6 more speeches to go, and 7 months to get them done. These are still busy times, AND I’ve made the Decision.

STRESS! It’s gripped the world. It’s gripped many of us! It’s become so natural that we don’t know what life is like without stress.
If they don’t have a crisis, they’ll make one.
The truth is, and though we don’t like to admit it, we’re pretty much all like that. We’ve gotten so use to feeling the stress in our bodies that when it’s not there we feel odd or “not quite right”. We will unconsciously go on the hunt for something to stress about so or bodies can go back to feeling “normal”.
Stress Management courses are offered by our employers. They are written about in magazines. Stress Management is discussed on TV and all over the internet.
The truth is you don’t have to be stressed. It is not your natural state.
Peace is YOUR natural state.
You’ve been out of this place of peace for so long now that you’ve forgotten.
What if you could get back to Peace, even when things don’t seem to be working the way you think they should be working?
What if you could feel good ALWAYS despite appearances?
It’s time to put the REAL Manager in charge of your life. It’s time to put YOU in charge of your life.
Your body isn’t the manager. Your mind isn’t the manager. Your emotions and Energy are not the managers either.
These are each equally important parts of you, however they are all intended to be managed by Your Spirit. They are the team Your Spirit leads through this experience we call Life!
How would your life change if Your Spirit managed your life experience?
Would Your Spirit choose to sit on the couch in front of the TV half-sleeping through life? Who do you think is managing that choice?
Would Your Spirit choose the same job, the same friends, the same recreational activities, the same distractions?
What activities would Your Spirit give your body? What direction would Your Spirit guide your mind? How would Your Spirit use your Energy? What different emotions would you experience if your Spirit guided your Body, Mind and Energy?
These are all important questions to ask yourself, especially if you feel your life is being managed by anyone or anything other than You.
Your Spirit will ALWAYS choose that which serves you. Your Spirit will ALWAYS love you and keep you safe.
Give Your Spirit the Keys to Your City. Leave stress at the gate, and begin living in your natural state of Peace once again.

Week one is complete. I did 3 of 4 workouts. My legs were still sore up until Saturday! This week I started the workouts on Monday, so I can have a break on Wednesday and put 2 full days between leg workouts. This should prevent this from happening again.
I did OK with water. There is definitely room for improvement. I ate well, though I did have a couple of chocolate chip cookies for desert every once in a while! The boys ate them quickly, so they’re gone for now.
I did take my Bios Life Slim regularly, with no missed days. I did have one day where I almost forgot at supper, so there wasn’t the full 10-15 minutes before I ate.
Some things I observed over this week. I had to drop my portion sizes just a bit. I was so stuffed after supper with my regular portion sizes! I took me 3 days to figure out all I had to do was make the portions slightly smaller and I’d feel fine.
I was looking in the mirror thinking I looked a little slimmier, but figured it was just my excitement and I was making things up.
So…the measurements happened just 20 minutes ago, and I was surprised! It really isn’t that much, but it is something!
My total inches are 163, which is down 2.5 inches from last week. I lost a 1/2 inch from my neck, waist, hips and my right thigh. (Did the measurements exactly the same as last time.) 3/4 of an inch from my chest (go figure), and gain 1/4 inch on my arms. (I’m working on my pipes…LOL.)
Not bad! I’m excited to see what happens after one more week!
So even without increasing my activity, or consciously decreasing my portion size, I’ve seen progress.
My intention is to get the full 4 workouts in this week, at least 2 walks with my Active Meditation, and continue with the conscious eating. I’m going to do better with my water too.

Yesterday I shared on my newsletter that I was going for it and making a commitment. This commitment is more in the form of a Declaration.
I’m exposing it all! Well…you’ll see. Just keep reading.
I’ve set a 90 day challenge for myself, and I’ll be putting my progress…my ups and downs…all on here for everyone to see.
Laying the Foundation
Let me share a bit about where I am at right now before I get to the goal, and the Expose.
I’m an almost 42 year old Mom of an almost 7 year old boy. I’ve been a vegetarian for 19 months now. I weight lift 3-4 times per week, though not consistently. I drink 8-9 glasses of water with reasonable consistency. I don’t eat much fast food. Maybe one veggie burger at A&W every six months. I treat myself to a Dairy Queen cone maybe twice a month. We eat at restaurants probably 4 times per month. I rarely eat desert at the restaurant.
I have about 3-4 cups of coffee per day Monday-Friday. I have 1 can of pop about every two months or so. I drink socially perhaps once every 3-4 months.
Over the period of time from September 2006 (when I switched to vegetarian eating) to about September 2007 I stopped stepping on the scale, and went from a size 14 down to a size 11. I was pretty darn proud of myself. I did moderate exercise, ate well, and visualized regularly.
Since September 2007, I’m still wearing size 11, so I have been able to maintain what I achieved quite effortlessly.
I use Quadplex protein in my morning smoothie, along with LiFibre. I’ll share the recipe in another post.
I was taking Bioslife Complete too. My Dad died of a heart attack at the age of 56, and there is a history of strokes and diabetes in my family as well. Heart health is important to me.
I believe the changes I made also contributed to the fact that I rarely get sick anymore, and when I do happen to catch a cold, it only last for a couple of days. (I kick it in the butt with natural remedies.
)
The thing is, while I love my body and take good care of it, I’d absolutely love to fit into size 8 again. That’s the reason for this Expose.
The Goal
To fit into size 8 clothing again!
I intend to drop from a size 11 to a size 8 in 90 days through increased activity, conscious eating and nutritional supplementation.
The Expose
My measurements totalled 165.5 inches. This included my Neck, Chest, Arm, Waist, Hips, Thigh. I wasn’t sure if I should be measuring both arms and thighs and including them in the inches, so I just measured my right arm and thigh. I’ll use the same arm and thigh all the way through as I measure my progress.
(Yeah…I’ve been delaying sharing the pictures. LOL)
UGH! Here we go!
These pictures were taken the evening of May 20th. My hubby took them and I groaned. (That mark on my leg is my dolphin and tropical island tattoo.
)
In order to map your way towards your goals, you need to know where you are at. This is where I am at.
The Vision
After you look at where you are at, you need to know where you are going. This allows you to map your way between the two points.
“EEEEEE! They fit!” The zipper came up and the button closed, and I didn’t have to hold my breath or anything!
I just put on the “skinny jeans” I’ve been hanging onto since before I got married knowing that one day I’d fit into them again. I don’t care that they are out of fashion already! I can fit in them again!
(Turning around so I can look at my backside in the mirror.)
Oh yeah! Too bad they are not in fashion any more! LOL!
That’s okay. It’s a great excuse to go SHOPPING! I am going to have so much fun trying on clothes! I’m going to have to bring one of my girlfriends with me. I’m not going to torture myself and the boys and make them come along for this adventure. LOL They’ll be happier with a little fashion show when I get back anyway.
The Plan
I’m already working out 3-4 times per week, so to amp it up just a bit I’ll be weight lifting 4 times per week consistently. 2 days on upper body and 2 days on lower body.
I’ll also be including 20 minutes of walking 3 times per week using my active meditation.
I’m continuing with the morning shakes (recipe to posted separately), and the quality food. I still eat seafood, some dairy and eggs. I’m making sure I get protein with each meal.
The nutritional supplementation is the Quadplex protein and LiFibre in my shakes. I’m also changing from Bioslife Complete to Bioslife Slim. Bioslife Slim re-balances the Leptin Hormone, which regulates our hungry and full receptors. I’m basically re-teaching my body how to turn fat. It will also make sure I get the proper Vitamin B’s that some vegetarians are short on as well.
The Support
I have a few support mechanisms in place. I’ve started a journal. I’ll be keeping track of my exercise, nutrition, and the mental/spiritual aspects as well.
I’m also inviting YOU to come play with me!
