I posted at one of my favourite forums today. Someone was asking for affirmations they could use when they were worrying about someone else’s need for a manifestation.

Thought the information may be of value to other people, so I’m sharing it here.

These are more than just to support you with a worry. They should and easily could be part of your daily processes.

Enjoy!

All is well. And it always is.

Things always work out for me.

Look for evidence in your life where things HAVE worked out.

Do kind things for yourself.

Write 5 Gratitudes per day.

Take 5 Deep Breaths.

Thank the Universe for working in the background for you.

Choose a celebration for when [fill in the blank] happens.

Laugh more.

Remember…managing your energy is not complicated. Simple works GREAT!

When’s the last time you drop kicked yourself?

Today? Yesterday? Last week?

It happens a lot for most of us. We are our own worst critic.

I did it this last weekend. I had a weekend full of celebrations, and at the very last minute…WHUMPH!

Cue thought bubble…”I can’t believe I said that!”

That’s the one that came out shortly after I said THAT. That thought bubble drop kicked me most of the evening, and on into the night.

The thing is, everyone that was around me when I said THAT probably didn’t even hear what I made up they heard, and if they did, they likely forgot all about it within the next few minutes. Something far more important like getting another coffee, calculating their parking fee, or the hungry grumble in their tummy, totally took over their thought waves.

We go through life championing for other people, celebrating their ups, and lovingly dusting them off when they are down. We kiss their boo boos, wipe away their tears, list what’s great about them, and yet, when it comes to being our own best supporter, instead of a pat on the back we get a glove to the chops.

What do you do when your child or your best friend bumps up against one of these situations? How do you treat them? What do you give them to help them through?

How would your life change if you gave that same thing to you? What would your life look like if you were your own best friend?

Thankfully, I only spent one evening drop kicking myself. Once I gave myself the gift of a good night’s sleep, watched a happy movie, and went over what DID go great over that previous day, I started smiling at myself instead. What I said wasn’t really that bad. I just shared that I can use support and kind reminders from time to time, just like everyone else. Who knows. Maybe by sharing this, someone else put down their gloves and stopped the body shots.

Besides, everyone else is cheering you on. You may as well join in the fun.

Maybe then you’ll notice that you totally rock!

Dream BIG!

"You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." – Buddha

Community is so important. It’s not the things that bring us happiness. It is our connections that bring us true happiness.

Yes, our relationship to other is a vital part of these connections, but there’s one relationship that is more important than all the others.

That essential relationship is our connection to self.

What we want from others we must give ourselves first.

The interesting thing about this is that once we give these things to ourselves, the need to receive it from others disappears. We already have what we need.

What do we often desire or believe we need from others? A few examples would be love, approval, appreciation, support, acceptance, trust and faith.

These create some of our biggest “If…then…” scenarios.

Also interesting is that we often withhold these from ourselves because others do not offer them to us.

How can I love myself? My ____ doesn’t. I must not be loveable.

In truth, no one can love you until you love yourself. It’s not the other way around. Somewhere along the way we made that up.

Whatever it is you are looking for from others, stop looking outside of you for it. Turn to yourself. Give this to yourself, and receive this from yourself.

This can be done simply. Begin asking yourself simple questions that move you in that direction.

How can I show myself love today??

How can I show myself appreciation today?

What would it take to accept myself?

What would it take to have faith in myself?

Write these questions in your journal. You may get an immediate answer, but often the answers to these questions show up when you least expect it.

It’s these small daily practices that begin the process of connecting more deeply with you.

As you connect more deeply with you, the JOY comes in. The simple things begin to hold more meaning. The connections with others grow.

JOY fills every corner of your life.

JOY fills you.

We are all born with our own gifts and strengths, and sometimes it takes just a little bit of remembering to uncover them.

For whatever reason we get distracted by those things we think we SHOULD be able to do.

Let me ask you a question. Would others be allowed to shine if you were able to do every single thing under the sun? Would any of us be given opportunities to give of ourselves to others if we knew how to do everything?

Rather than trying to fill in your perceived blanks, rediscover your gifts and let them shine! Use your gifts and strengths to give to and support others.

You are magnificent, just the way you are!

JOY Challenge:

How can I use one of my gifts, strengths or talents in service today?
